Versatile is expanding into the small scale line of equipment.
The tractor manufacturer from Winnipeg said the scale models will be available in April at Versatile dealers.
The toys will include a 1/32 scale Versatile 550 introductory edition, 1/32 scale Versatile 500, 1/64 scale Versatile 500, 1/64 scale Versatile 500 with Versatile semi and flatbed and a 1/64 scale Ford dealer pick-up truck.
“This is really just the beginning,” said marketing director Adam Reid.
“Ever since reviving the Versatile brand name in 2008, customers and dealers have been asking for toy tractors. It’s taken some time to find the right partner and we are extremely excited to launch the new line of four-wheel drive toys.”
The small scale toys will be manufactured by Tomy and Ertl, which makes die cast models for other farm equipment.
Versatile is a division of Buhler Industries, the only Canadian manufacturer of agricultural tractors.
